Lamb is back on the menu once more

Lamb's Louise and Andy have always spread the intimacies of their relationships across their albums. The first was full of the heady insecurity of a new relationship and follow-up 'Fear Of Fours' grew alongside Louise's tummy (full of growing baby). 'What Sound' offers a slice of cosy domesticity: mum, studio partner and sprog makes three.
It's saved from saccharine overload by Louise's angel-on-20-Marlboroughs-a-day voice, always Lamb's best asset. It lacks the pain of discovery and possible loss on classics 'Gorecki' and 'Cotton Wool', but it provides home comfort, like a double duvet and big plates of soggy toast.
