"OH, this is that boring woman," MM photographer Lili informs us. I can't really disagree. For about three minutes the music behind Lou Rhodes' voice consists merely of the cha-cha-cha beat off a cheap Mr Tandy keyboard, and it doesn't get better when the song finally livens up and becomes, basically, Garbage backing a 13th-rate Bjork. If I was in one of my soppy romantic moods, I might allow myself a smile at the lyrics.
"Gonna love you till the seas run dry / I've found the one I've waited for." But I'm not.
Peter: "I think that's roast lamb, mate. Was I supposed to listen to it all the way through? I really don't want to do that. I wondered if it was going to brighten up. This'd be much better with a bit of gravy and potatoes. That's the only way it'd be palatable. Oh, by the way, thanks a lot for putting me in your paper. I really appreciate it."
MM: Oh, Peter, you old charmer, you.
