Post trip hop/avant jungle Manchester duo's second album

AH, the little Lambs. The Mancunian duo rather got it in the neck when their debut album 'Gorecki' emerged a couple of years back. Their blend of drum & bass and old fashioned songs was considered sacrilege then. Now everyone else has had a stab at it, it's hard to see what all the fuss was about.
It helps that this, their second album, is way more confident and adventurous than its predecessor. Andy Barlow's quirky but hefty production and Lou Rhodes' emotive vocal outpourings seem to sit much more comfortably together - particularly on singles 'B-Line' and 'Little Things'. Bypassing purists on all sides, Lamb have built a brave sound that is all their own. Chop 'em out soon.
