Lamb are trip hop's odd couple: Lou Rhodes the folkie singer-songwriter and Andy Barlow the abstract beat junkie. So it's fitting that their music often sounds at war with itself. It all works beautifully on tracks like 'All In Your Hands' and 'Fly', closer to Björk's pop experiment-alism than any post-Portishead comparison. That title? It's about the duo's dislike of the 4/4 kick drum. Ironic when you consider that Lamb can't be more than Todd Terry mix away from Moloko-style club domination.
